Another trip
Well, I'm getting ready for another trip, this time to Virginia to see John and Andrew. My toe is better but I am still having vision problems. I did get a second opinion, but he didn't know what the problem is either. He did give me a prescription for glasses, which in no way resembled the one provided by the first opthamologist, so now I guess I will have to go find a third opinion to find out which of them, if either, is correct. The equipment is so good, how can they possibly mess it up so badly? Four of the eight readings are negative on one prescription and positive on the other, and none of the numbers match. It is still very hot down here, I am trying to get the house ready for me to leave again.

It's always something
I'm back from Massachusetts, it was great to see Steven, Sandy and Matthew. Matthew is a lovely, loving, affectionate little boy who is very, very big for his age, and trying to come to terms with the fact that he is too big for grandma to pick him up. So, after two weeks of whining about the rain and chilly weather up in Massachusetts, I arrived back in Louisiana to the hottest June I can ever remember, so now I am whining about the heat. It is so hot, (how hot is it?) the water evaporated in my pool, and even in the toilets, I have never seen such a thing. Many of my plants died and I have been watering them, hoping to resurrect them. Then, Sunday I went to the store to buy some food, when a clumsy guy backed up into me, kicking my toe and breaking it, (little toe, right foot) so now I can't walk or drive, which means I couldn't get to the hospital, so I have been sitting with my foot in a bowl of ice water for days. So now I can't water my plants, or play tennis. I have been dying to get back on the tennis court, it has been months, what with my eye surgeries and trips. I hope my toe heals in time for me to go to Virginia. It's always something.
