I never though that when I retired I would spend my time doing physical labour, but that is what I have been doing. I bought new (for me) bookcases, and had to move everything off my current bookcases, move them out and bring in the new (for me) bookcases. Well, the first part went OK, but to my surprise the "new" bookcases were way heavier than the old ones. I used my little hand cart to move the old bookcases, leaning them on my shoulder, but when I did that with the new one, it crushed my shoulder, and there was no way to get it in the house, so I had to call Ravi to come and help. We got the first one in, and after Mardi Gras they will come back and help me to move the other two, which will have to stay in the garage till then. The mountain of books will have to stay on the couch. On the way from the garage to the house, I did manage to see the magnolia, which is always the first thing to bloom. The orange tree in the front is producing hundreds of buds, and the fig tree has started to sprout a few leaves. yea, spring is here.
