April 15, tax day

April 15, tax day. I just spent over an hour at the post office getting my tax returns mailed. There were dozens of people in line, and only one person working behind the counter. After half an hour a second person showed up, stood there looking around, looking completely out of it. Then he turned around and left. Half the people in line left in disgust, but many more came and some stayed, some left. Finally another person showed up to work, but the first one left. Then the guy came back, but still didn't help anyone. A woman ahead of me in line said "he is drunk". Finally he called someone to help them, I'm glad it wasn't me, because he messed it up, and after she left the other clerk told him he had to clear out what he had just done. Fortunately I got the other clerk, and got out of there. I wonder what it will be like there this afternoon, chaos I'm sure.
