flash flood warning

Sears just called. Finally, my new glasses are in, yea, so I jumped into the car and took off. It was raining much heavier than I realized but I continued on my way, till I got to W. Esplanade and discovered it was already beginning to flood. By the time I got to Sears, and back, the place would be under water, so I turned round and came home, just in time to turn on the TV and get the flash flood warning. I guess I can wait one more day.
