Construction is constant and on going as the area works to come back to pre Katrina condition. I never did expect people to start working on the plot catercorner from my house however. It has always been open land and it never occurred to me that someone would develop it. Last week lots of trucks showed up and started digging and clearing. Then this week a huge crane and other vehicles showed up and started to put this huge cylinder thing in. I went over and asked them what it was and what they were building. "It is a flag pole" says the guy. A flag pole, I asked, incredulous, as it is a couple of feet in diameter. Yes, he says, for cell phones. Oh! my cell phone is going to work properly for the first time since Katrina. That is good.
