Rain, rain, and more rain, about one inch per hour according to the weather report. We are supposed to be going to a party this evening, but the roads are flooding. The rain is falling faster than the pumps can remove it. My friend just called, it is his first experience with flooding and he can't believe what he sees out his window. He says there is a woman stuck in her car in the road, another car going the wrong way round a u turn is also stuck, and of course traffic is at a stand still. Now the TV has gone out. Great. I guess no party for us tonight. Oh well, being stuck at home is better than getting stuck in a flood. There has been a flash flood warning in effect all evening, again.
