my first little art collection

I got so excited talking to Renee that I completely forgot that I was in the middle of taking a tea break, and after we finished talking I was so excited I went back to moving all my excess books out of my poor overstuffed bookcases into my new, (for me) bookcase. I wanted more shelves so spent a day at Home Depot trying to find more shelves, there were none, so a nice employee got a great big piece and cut it into three smaller ones for me, he even shaved it so it would fit right. Next problem, it was white, so I bought brown paint and a darker stain to make it look like the book case. Unfortunately, the little things that hold up the shelves were the wrong size, so back to Home Depot. I talked to the woman who ran the section and she said they never make the right size, I said, well this one is a 5mm, do you have a 6mm. No, they don't have sizes. I said they must have sizes, no! So I took another one off the shelf, this one says it is 3/16, but it is also too small, do you have one that is 4/16. No. We have this one that is 1/4 but it is too big, excuse me? don't people know any math here? So I bought the 1/4 brought it home and it works. So, in four days after I have finished painting and staining my new shelves, I will be able to finish transferring all my books, and will send a picture of that too. Now, that cup of tea is cold, but what the hell. Here is the picture of my first little art collection in the kitchen. Norma inspired me.
