Today I drove over to Slidell to see the movie, Avatar. I loved it 4 gliomas, is that the maximum? It has been so long since I rated anything I don't remember, anyway, maximum number of gliomas. They did a great job with the 3D. I got to the theater early so sat in the car and read the paper while I waited for my friend, and then when we got out of the movie found out that I had left my key in the ignition. Thank goodness for GEICO, they sent someone to let me in. Then I drove home, but on the I 10 traffic came to a complete standstill, there must have been a terrible accident, so I worked my way over to an exit and came home by the backstreets. I just got in, it is pitch black out there.

Freda, I love that you still use the glioma scale -- and yes, 4 gliomas is tops.
I liked Avatar too, but I think I'd stop at 3 gliomas. Beautiful to look at, great use of 3D, and satisfying storytelling. But there wasn't much original about the plot and some of the dialog or performances were lame, I thought. Enjoyable, but not one of my favorites this year.
Hi Mark, good to hear from you. I just got an email from Renee asking about the glioma scale, so for anyone else who is not familiar with it, just think of it as the regluar system of stars, 4 gliomas means the movie is really great. I agree it wasn't all that original, but I enjoyed the 3D so much I overlooked the less than awsome aspects and just went with it. I especially loved the effect of the flying insects, they looked as if they were flying in the theater, and they were so pretty.
Hey mom, glad you like the movie. I liked it okay too but might give it just 2.5 or 3. I havent really understood why they hype around Avatar. I mean, it was pretty good and all, but i didnt think great...
