my skype won't work with Windows 7 - help

OK, everyone, I have a problem. I got Windows 7 installed on my new computer, and now I can't get skype to work. It worked fine with Vista, but Vista was a big pain. Windows 7 seems to be better except that I can no longer use skype. Now I can no longer communicate with friends or family. Email is great, but skype is fantastic, to be able to see and talk with friends thousands of miles away, there is nothing like it, or I should say, before Windows 7, there was nothing like it. If anyone knows a solution please let me know.
